Installation
Must be installed on the same day as delivery or pick-up. Mow cautiously when needed after installation. Sod must be thoroughly watered after installation. We highly recommend the area where the sod is being installed is prepped and ready before the sod order.
Watering Guide
After installation, it's essential to water your sod deeply to encourage root growth. For the first week, water your sod daily to keep the soil consistently moist, then gradually decrease frequency to 2-3 times per week. Be mindful of weather conditions and adjust watering accordingly. Avoid overwatering, as it can lead to disease and shallow root development.
Maintenance
Keep foot traffic to a minimum during the first few weeks to allow the roots to establish firmly in the soil. Continue watering the sod regularly, adjusting frequency based on weather conditions to keep the soil consistently moist. Mow the sod once it has reached the recommended height, typically 2-3 inches. Fertilize the sod approximately six weeks after installation to provide essential nutrients for healthy growth.
